Working into the night isn't ideal but we are so happy to be able to keep working on the house and not rely on the daylight. The lights used to help us keep working also acts as a heater for the time being. We cannot wait for our custom door to arrive so that we can be completely enclosed inside and keep the heat in.
For the plumbing we are using 1/2 inch pex tubing. We drilled through the studs to allow acces for the tubing to go into the bathroom for the bath tub/shower and around the corner to the kitchen for the sink. We will not have a sink in the bathroom since it is only a few feet away to the kitchen sink! We are ordering a instant water heater that will be placed in the closet under the stairs which is directly adjacent to the bath tub wall.
We replaced all of the stair treads from 6 inches to 10 inches so that we could walk on them a bit easier. Our dog Bella should be able to go up them as well. After replacing the treads we began on building the frame for the dog house that will be under the stairs. Not only to house Bella but her toys, food, and bed. Above her house area will be storage for shoes and clothing.
We are Ryan and Hannah Fullerton. We built a tiny home between fall and spring of 2014-2015. We sold it in may of 2015 and moved into a travel trailer full-time. We love to explore and go on adventures with friends. Our favorite sports are Stand up paddleboarding, and rock climbing. We train hard in the gym so that our bodies are strong and ready for our outdoor activites. Follow us on our journey to live small, but have big adventures!
